Historic Colony Theatre

This historic landmark in Miami Beach’s famous Lincoln Road just turned 75 years old. At the same time, it caught up to the 21st century by opening a Ticket Master box office. To point pedestrians to buy tickets, I created giant posters for Clear Channel’s illuminated displays on Lincoln. For the birthday party, a slightly more classy black (tie) e-vite was created and sent out.

Construction Annual Report

2010

With a budget of over $1,000,000,000 (Yes, a billion US dollars), construction in Miami Beach has gotten expensive. To prove to the 65,000 households in the city that their money is going to good deeds, I was asked to create this feel-good piece which was mailed to everyone.

Keep the Beach Clean

2010

Miami Beach has tens of millions of visitors every year. Lately, cleanliness had become an issue, so a beach cleanliness campaign kicked off. For the campaign, I created designs for biodegradable bags for trash, developed concepts for image boards and created industrial-strength stickers to place on drains that lead to the bay.

Sleepless Night Book

May 26
2012
bookweb-1 Sleepless Night was attended by over 125,000 people. With a population that size going to hundreds of events at different venues across an entire city, organizing information can be tedious. This second edition of Sleepless Night I learned many lessons from the first, and incorporated them accordingly. The maps, etc. were in a small book rather than a big folded map. The paper was also coated so it lasted all night with the humidity. Text was mostly on white background to make it more legible at night. Take a look.

Collins Avenue Shopping District

2012

Miami Beach is a shoppers paradise. With stores as nice as Armani, Diesel and Nicole Miller, and as economical as Gap, Banana Republic and Zara, there’s something for everyone on Collins Avenue. But recent competition from other malls has put a dent in the crowds in the 33139 zip code. To rebrand the area and increase traffic, I created bright pink signs to designate all the areas that there’s shopping in Miami Beach. Long story short, there’s TONS of signs. Here’s a sample along with the proposed versions for restaurants (DINE) and entertainment (PLAY). Also, supporting video as I drive down Collins below.
